Extremist?   #10
by Joseph Prescia

I’m called an extremist because I believe that God is above government and that government has overstepped it’s proper place with over taxation and over regulation.

My views have been called extreme because I believe that guns have a strong and rightful presence in a free America and that our moral rights to own and use them should not be infringed upon in any way.

I’m called an extremist because I believe I have the right and an impeding obligation to teach my children that God is right, His ways are the only way and that unbelievers are a detriment to our free society both now and in the future.

My ideas are considered extreme because I have taken my children out of the public school system and placed them under the loving, genuine concern of their mother who will home school them, teach them that you can not separate church and state if God is a living reality in your heart every hour of every day.

I’m labeled an extremist because I know that there are absolutes like right and wrong, good and evil and that a gray area is for someone who is confused and can not make up their mind on which road to take; man’s or God’s.

Let me ask you something. Why is it that extremists today are those who want to continue under the same lifestyle that many of our forefathers established our country under? What about God-rejecting people like Madelyn O’Hare who pushed for no prayer in schools and succeeded or Ted Turner who criticizes those who are Christian.  Why are they not publicly labeled extremists? God and guns have been around a lot longer than these recent movements have and their attempts to change society. Man shall die, but God shall live on. I’m sticking with God.

Just read the Mayflower Compact that the Pilgrims signed the day they landed at Cape Cod in 1620 or read our United States Constitution. They are loaded with Christian and biblical statements. I guess for those first 200 years we need to label them as extremists. But I guess the more recent gun control, anti-God socialists of today are not extremists who want to destroy the moral fiber that our nation was founded upon
