| Godly and Devilish Leadership #23 by Joseph Prescia The purpose of terrorism is to terrorize. Attention is sought not by traditional, morally responsive means, but by a means that goes against a person’s freewill. It’s a forced attention that often ends in destruction and murder. Terrorists believe that their evil acts are justified to correct what they consider as evil. They are so often wrong in their pursuits because of the means by which they arrive at determining whether or not something is evil. Their belief system is not built upon truth. The Devil is behind the scenes spiritually motivating their evil moves. Their religious beliefs motivate them, but the beliefs are devilish in nature. Without a godly standard, like the Bible, upon which to base decisions, fear, death, force and violence of any kind are their means of carrying out their agenda. These are not godly characteristics. The Devil has inspired people to commit devilish acts. Jesus said “you will know them by their fruit.” The difference between good and evil is the source of where the motivation originates. There are 2 spiritual powers: One is the true God of Jesus Christ that operates via holy spirit and never oversteps freewill. The other is the Devil and his devil spirits that operate against freewill via unholy spirit, often possessing their subjects. The true God operates in the open, with a biblical manual of instruction that’s open to all. His Written Word contains light and brings light. On the other hand, terrorists like Osama bin Laden hide in dark places like a snake, secretly scheming their goals. His characteristics are devilish, filled with fear, surprise, selfishness, darkness, destruction and death. The Devil’s people rejoice in wrongdoing. The scriptures declare that we are to rejoice in righteousness. The Bible tells of several men and women elected by God to carry out His will. This was done in a godly fashion, decently and in order. In the Old Testament Moses’ responsibility was shared with Aaron and the 70 elders of Israel (Exodus 24:1). Their goal was to do the will of God that was given by revelation. The leaders had specific responsibilities to communicate to the people. In the New Testament the Apostle Paul was chosen by God to share the revelation God gave to him with the people. Written epistles were given to specific church areas with instructions to pass the information on to other areas when they had finished reading them. Within each of those church areas, leaders were chosen to communicate the information that started with God, then to Paul, then to the leaders and finally to the people. Territorial disputes were not a part of God’s instruction, but instead they were to reveal the plan of salvation. Conquering other countries, lust for power and authority were abandoned for true peace in Jesus Christ. God brings light and administers this light in a decently, orderly, peaceful fashion without riots, terrorists and confusion. Fear and death are not a part of His plan for His people.. Thank God we have a choice between good and evil and a standard upon which to discern between truth and error. The Written Word of God exposes darkness by way of its light, otherwise we would not know who to believe. The scriptures tell us plainly about both good and evil intentions. We have a clear standard to distinguish between the two. |
