We Have the Bigger God   #26
by Joseph Prescia

Those of us who are comforted by the scriptures are not afraid of what terrorists can do. We do not make decisions based upon fear, but instead we take refuge in what God can do as promised in His Written Word, the Bible.

Hebrews 13:5,6 ...I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. (KJV
)

If an individual is born again of God’s spirit, they have a spiritual connection with God. God can tell that individual where they need to be and when. This trusting individual has built a meaningful relationship with God by reading the scriptures daily, trusting those words rather than the fear from the media.

Psalm 34:4 I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (KJV
)

If you have the smaller god, then you will be compelled to hide in caves to secretly carry out your evil deeds. Fear, death, destruction, darkness, selfishness and cowardice are characteristics of this smaller god.

The true God, on the other hand, is open with His people. Freedom reigns for these countries and is the envy of the unbelieving nations. Prosperity is the result of having sought the right God. The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the true Word upon which we can build a trusting, lasting relationship with God Almighty.

1 Peter 3:12-14 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil. 13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is good? 14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; (KJV)

What a comfort when you trust in God's Words rather than the fearful words from the world.
