Internal Peace   #28
by Joseph Prescia

A terrorist leader recently said that America will not have peace until Islam does. The problem he has in that statement is the means by which he determines what peace is. He thinks peace means no war and buildings in tack. That’s a major problem when your enemy has an internal peace in their heart that does not shake them. That’s an enemy that has internal stamina, can be as cool as a cucumber, and patiently plan his next strategic move. It’s also an enemy that a terrorist needs to be afraid of.

It pretty well describes Americans as a whole. We are not shaken by the physical buildings that crumble because our peace is internal. Terrorists have underestimated the American resolve. America’s internal peace comes from the prince of peace, the lord Jesus Christ. This peace can stand firm in the midst of all hell.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (KJV)

Terrorists are not peaceful because they think with a carnal mind. They see only that which the outward flesh desires. They want to blow up buildings and kill innocent people. All the while they neglect the internal reality of Christ within, the prince of peace. Islam acknowledges Christ; yet for possessed ones like terrorists, they ignore their Koran and the Bible, vainly plotting their selfish acts and refusing to do the will of God.

Romans 3:15-18 Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. (KJV)

Thank God that America as a whole has the right God. He has blessed us with a spiritual protection that no enemy can totally defeat. America is here to stay as long as it continues in following the direction of the Word of God, the Bible. God has given THIS country light because of the desire of it’s residents to have it. We have a military second to none, an economy stronger than any other, and above all, a personal relationship with the one true God. Those who deny the reality of our prosperity and health also deny the God Who gave it to us. Our God always has been the greatest and always will be. That's why we stand firm and peaceful is because of Him!
