| Passive Peace or Freedom Fight? #32 by Joseph Prescia Can any good come out of Afghanistan? How could the Taliban insist that they are right with the true God? According to the United States CIA figures in 2000, Afghanistan was the largest producer of opium poppies. With narcotics trafficking as a major source of revenue how can these thieves have any credibility? The only credibility they have comes from our own United States liberal University professors and socialists who are drunk with their own wisdom. They assume that the people of Afghanistan need social repair and since we are bombing them we are preventing them from progressing. Every Afghan from their country has freewill. They have chosen the wrong course that they knew would result in retaliation. When they kill over 5000 innocent Americans, it’s time to fight for dignity and freedom. Freedom is not maintained with a passive call to “peace.” The social wimps of today promote this cry because they have forgotten what it cost to establish freedom over 200 years ago. For those who want no other way but to murder, then they must be rebuked with the same level of commitment. They are still murderers and calling them “terrorists” will not weaken their crime. Take note of this section in Romans concerning the unrighteous. Romans 3:15-18 Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known: There is no fear of God before their eyes. (KJV) Thank God that our country of the United States was founded in godly biblical principals. There are several of us that believe it’s still worth fighting for. Our nations Declaration of Independence bases all human rights upon the Creator of the heavens and the earth. Freedom was rated so high at that time that the famous words of Patrick Henry are still remembered today, “Give me liberty or give me death.” At that time their tyranny was England. Ours today is terrorism. They overcame theirs with a fight and so will we. Only those with a heart for scripture and God will truly see and endure the need for rising up to maintain that freedom. May many more get healed and join us in this necessary fight for freedom. |
