| Rely upon Psychics for Guidance? #33 by Joseph Prescia The latest news is that the United States government is recruiting psychics to help prevent future attacks on American soil and also to aid in locating Osama Bin Laden. How devilish! Psychics rely upon devilish spiritual power to give them information. Since there are only 2 sources of spiritual power, the true God and the Devil, whom do you think psychics rely upon? The Bible makes it very clear how to differentiate between the two sources. Psychics rely upon the Devil to furnish them their information. President Bush has said that he reads his Bible every morning and asks God for guidance. In the meantime the FBI is working for the enemy, Satan. The FBI has been recruiting psychics to help predict future terrorists attacks. Some have said “What difference does it make as long as it saves lives?” That question can only come from someone who knows not God. There’s one thing that the true God does not tolerate and that is idolatry. We can make plenty of mistakes in life because of the freewill God gave us but you just don’t yield to idolatry for ANY reason. Only fear of the future could motivate a person or group to start working for the Devil like this. Saul, the first king in the Old Testament, made the same mistake. He quit listening to God, turned to idolatry and sought the Woman of Endor for guidance(See I Samuel 28:ff). She operated devil spirits to access her information. Fear was Saul’s motivation. He ended up committing suicide. Who do you think Osama is working for? It’s surely not the true God with a thieving, murdering track record like the Al Qaeda. So now that puts our own FBI working with Osama and his terrorists. They are both getting their spiritual information from the same god, the Devil. The True God thinks pretty highly of worship directed to Him only. In fact the very first of the ten commandments says in Exodus 20 says “”Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Psychics are truly guilty of this and will pay dearly for spiritual treason. But those of us who know better utterly detest such behavior. What is the answer to needing information beyond the 5 senses? We trust the true God to give it when it will be needed. There were plenty of “believers” that called in sick or slept in the morning of September 11th who worked at the World Trade Center. Those people believed the True God that morning and had great success. They were allowed to live on. They did not rely upon other gods for their guidance. We can continue down the righteous path of internal peace. We can trust the true God and not the road of fear, anxiety and idolatry. We build this hope by reading and believing the scriptures. |
