Injustices   #44
by Joseph Prescia

Our society gets really upset when they believe that an injustice has been done. One might think this is a good thing. It is wonderful that mankind has a desire built in him to see that things are done justly. But the major problem is that situations that really mean something are so often forgotten and those things that are virtually meaningless by comparison are elevated.

For instance, some are quite upset about who is at fault between a husband and wife appearing on the Jerry Springer Show. The audience listens to what they think is all the information needed to judge the situation and may become quite disturbed if one spouse has treated the other unjustly.

Or in a movie someone has had an injustice done at the beginning of the show and you pull for the one unjustly treated, even if it means pulling for the bad guys like in “American Outlaws.”

America is obsessed with trying to correct injustices on afternoon TV talk shows, Court TV Shows, in movies, etc. and yet very few are upset about the bondage Satan has upon mankind, the problem of sin, the refusal to obey God at His Word, the lust for money, lying, cheating, etc.

Jesus Christ died because he loved you and me. His life was not in vain. Yet several would rather speak out about fleshly injustices rather than the spiritual treason that the Devil committed against God and His people. Our savior freed us from all the problems you see on these shows. Refusal to accept Christ and his way of internal peace causes people to become bitter like we see on daytime soap operas and in many individuals real lives. We are seeing the evidence of people turning their back on God on court TV, talk shows and in movies.

When an individual becomes disgusted with the way of the world they can turn to the way of the Word with hope.
