| Making the Best Decisions #8 by Joseph Prescia In order to for you to make the best decisions in life you need to have the best standard in which to follow. If government makes your decisions for you then your standard is man. If concerns about animals causes you to make decisions above God then the animal kingdom is your highest standard. When you realize that there are 4 kingdoms and each one supercedes the other, then and only then can you properly prioritize your decision making. The 4 kingdoms are: 1. The Kingdom of God 2. The Kingdom of Man 3. The Animal Kingdom 4. The Plant Kingdom Anytime any of these last three are placed above God, then they become your gods. The key is to choose the right God. How could one expect to make the best decisions when priorities are wrong? If you passionately want the cutting of a tree stopped that denies the necessary lumber for a home for humans, you may want to reconsider your priorities by asking who or what is your god? If you file suit in court to stop farming on your neighbors property because a certain species of rats are in a category that you consider endangered you may want to reconsider just who or what is your god. If on the other hand your top standard is God and His Holy Scriptures, then you wisely consider man in in light of God’s domain or in subjection to God. You can then make wise decisions about the animal kingdom and the kingdom of man in light of the kingdom of God. You can also make wise decisions about food (plants) in relation to how it fits in subjection to the animal kingdom. Then your priorities are in order and they line up with the way they were fashioned by our Creator. God knows best because He created it all. He promises to take care of the smallest of details. In Matthew chapter 6 it says He even takes care of the lilies and the birds. Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (KJV) God promises He’ll take care of these things. He provides this for all things below Him. But if God wants a particular species to die off because they are of no profit to man then why do you think that you are smatter than God? Conservation has its place in subjection to the one true God. He knows best. God goes on to say in this same chapter: Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV) There’s our priority written so plainly. With that in mind we can make the best decisions when we keep God first and forsake the gods of man. |
