| You are Righteous Right NOW!
By Joseph Prescia Not recognizing a person’s righteousness before God has caused much heartache in a person’s life. Guilt, condemnation, physical sickness, poverty, suicide, to name a few, has been the result of God’s children not claiming their legal status before Him. If you are still sin-conscious, if you are still condemning yourself for making mistakes, if you feel you are falling short, then you are not claiming your right standing before God. The truth of the matter is that Jesus Christ made you worthy. He gave you value. You now deserve to be prosperous because of what God did through Christ for you. To think any other way is blasphemous! This righteousness is not of your own doing but from what God did on your behalf. If God did something titanic for you and you belittle it what does that say about your appreciation to God? You need to think highly of yourself. That’s not egotistical. That’s doing what God wants you to do provided it’s based upon the accomplished work of Christ. I can say, “I am righteous! I walk with the power of God. I am a super conqueror! I am prosperous! My God responds to my needs.” Philippians 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: God did this for you because of His grace. Grace simply means that you didn’t earn it but God gave it to you because He loves you. It’s freely given to you by God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. This is why we do not need to dwell on our sins. We do not need to dog ourselves about mistakes we’ve made. We simply learn, correct and move on. Righteousness is the absence of sin. When sin is removed you are righteous. There is nothing to hinder your walk with God. There’s nothing to tarnish your relationship. Ephesians 2:18 For through him (Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. We have direct access to God because we have been cleansed. I John 3:21 says that if our heart does not condemn us then we have confidence towards God. We can be confident towards God because we are righteous right now. There is nothing to stand in our way. There is nothing to be afraid of. We can get rid of the feeling of always doing something wrong. Why, because we are right before Him. We are right-eous! Return to main page |
